Ben, I did have a similar problem in July, 2005 (PCWorks has
great archives).
Karl Springer then suggested a program,
"Unlocker" which I just now noticed;
had to go back some in our archives. And then it was another
group of folders,
not "Administrative Tools" ... and then it kinda
"fixed itself" (like I did
something and didn't know what I did, and it just got
fixed). No fun running a
computer *that* way; I see the fun as being in control and
making things
happen. Someday, someone should write a paper on the use of
a computer as a
function of personality.
What we just did now in customizing the Start menu is
"neat" as the kids would
say. Interesting that they have a special line just for
"Administrative Tools"
... what's so special about that folder? However, now I
finally downloaded
"Unlocker" (thank you, Karl) <http://ccollom
b.free.fr/unlocker/>; maybe
someday I'll
