Many slideshow, movie maker, and graphics programs just LOVE
to
take over and hijack a PC. Go to MSCONFIG's
"Start" tab and
make sure they are not loading with Windows. If any entries

there for them are checked, uncheck them. Try it several
times
because sometimes they'll spontaneously check themselves
back,
or when you open the program again. If that happens, then
you'll have to go into the setup, options or properties of
the
programs and tell it to never load with Windows.

Also empty your "Temp" folder, there could be
more than one of
them on your HD.

Hi, I have a very weird thing happening to my desktop.
Recently I have been
working a great deal with photos, making slideshows.
Sometimes
I am
successful and then again I'm not. I use ShowBiz or
Windows
Movie Maker. I
usually can get down to putting the music in, and then I
have
trouble with
that. But that is not the trouble I am talking about.

All of a sudden, dozens of PDF icons with COPY OF (some
number) will appear
on
my desktop......sometimes as many as forty will appear. I

have to delete
them one by one. Often, as I am clicking on some to
highlight
and then delete
them, these very ones will reappear on my desktop.

There are always a few of them on my desktop when I first
boot up my
computer in the morning. In the ten years I have been
"playing" with a
computer, this is the first time this has happened. Before
this, I have
noticed that when I move some of my photos from MY PICTURES
to
another folder,
the same pics with COPY OF will appear in my MY PICTURES
folder. Can any of
you tell me what is happening.,,,,,,,,,,STEVE!!!!!!!!!, YOU
USUALLY HAVE AN
ANSWER FOR ME. Ann Parker
