When you bought the CD/DVD drive you should have received an
install disk...
In control panel right click on the drive and uninstall...
Restart your
computer and reintall the drivers from that install disk...
Which WinXP are you using by the way? I've discovered that
my CD/DVD burner
worked fine w/ SP1 but now that I've gone to SP2 it won't
work as a DVD
burner, it plays DVD's but won't burn them... Even after
updating the
driver... So, I hope that doesn't happen to you too...
