Harold, in Firefox got to tools/addons. On the extensions
tab find
Evernote. When you highlight it or click on it, you'll see
a disable choice
and a uninstall choice. I know Evernote also has a
shareware version but
what you are seeing running in firefox is an extension, one
of those little
programs that you can get through add ons in the toolbar
menu. You do know
about installing extensions through the addons dialog within
firefox, I
assume.

The firefox configuration file is in Documents and Setting,
under you user
name/Application data/Mozilla. If you want to completely
get rid of
Firefox, delete the Mozilla Firefox folder in program files
and that
application data folder.

I've just recently switched to Firefox and am delighted
with. It's
infinitely adjustable unlike IE where Microsoft decides how
it should look
and work. Infrequently, some page acts weird but then
there is an
extension to put "display in IE" in the firefox
right click menu.

Let us know what happens. Once you get firefox configured
like you want it,
I'll show you an extension that lets you backup everything
and restore
firefox almost instantly. I just installed my personnal
configuration of
Firefox on 4 computers and I don't think all it took more
than about 10
minutes to get 4 machines running identical configurations.

Ben

Thanks, Ben, I reinstalled EverNote, also installed this
"Web Clipper"
extension according to the instructions given. Note that
after the entire
installation (which is very quick) there is no Uninstall
file that one
usually
finds with a program. So I uninstalled EverNote from the
Add/Remove in the
Control Panel. No change; the line is still in the Firefox
context menu.

Maybe it is Firefox I should uninstall again but this time I
should delete
those configuration files that you mention. Before sending
this email, I
again
uninstalled Firefox from Add/Remove, also using Search,
removed it's folder
that remains in Program Files, and removed all references to
Firefox in the
system except the setup files. Then using RegSeeker, removed
all Firefox
references in the registry. Firefox is now reinstalled and
behold, there are
my bookmarks like they're ingrained in the setup file, and
there is EverNote
in the context menu (that I can do without but now it's a
matter of
curiosity). Where does one find the configuration files of
Firefox? ---
Harold
