Hello again,
Someone from the group sent me the following question which
then reminded me
that I never responded to the suggestions made way back in
April of this year
I'm sure you are all sitting and waiting for it Since we
are living in the
time where closure is necessary to keep one's sanity, here
we go (and btw, if
anyone can answer that someone, please do):
> Have you ever found out where to download the
sku112.cab file for office
without using the CD?
Interesting that you should bring this up now. First, I no
longer have the
problem; Outlook Express opens now with no problem (which it
has for a long
time). Since that sku112.cab question goes back to April of
this year (I had
to check the PCWorks archives to recall what it was all
about), it has no
bearing for me now; so much has been done since then.
I know now that included in the pre-installed programs for
my system was what
might have been a trial setup for MSWord 2003. Along with so
much other junk,
that setup was deleted (deleting junk is an obsession of
mine).
Maybe that had something to do with it. More to the point, I
really cannot
tell now what solved that problem, but it's solved. And
right now, my computer
couldn't be working better. If you need more information on
sku112.cab, enter
it in a google search and you'll see plenty of information.
Good that you brought this up again as I never brought it to
some closure for
the group. I'll send a copy of this to the group (without
mentioning your
name). Anything else, certainly you can email me again ---
Harold
