I have been willing to accept help. I appologized a few
times also, for
being a pain and for inconveniencing you and the others. You
said
yourself yesterday that you weren't receiving any more spam
from me so I
must be working on it. I was working on it! I even asked you
to let me
know if it happens again. Instead of telling me it happened
again, you
proposed that I be banned from the list. I was trying. I
don't know who
Ralph M. is, and I don't know if he tried to fix his problem
or if he
was banned. I personally never received any spam from him.
But I am
trying. Comodo is gone. I tried it, and it failed.

I promise I will look into Thunderbird, but it might have
to wait until
tomorrow.I work nights and have to get ready for work soon.
The only
reason why I haven't yet is because like I mentioned before
I use
Outlook to synchronize my Pocket PC. Will Thunderbird work
with my
Pocket PC?

  Lisa

Oh Lisa, Lisa. I and others have tried very hard to help
you, and now
that you're accepting that help we can make some progress.
Nobody wants
to see you gone, we just want you to stop Spamming us with
your poorly
designed email program. You may have seen the email
informing you that
other lists give one warning and you're out. Here, we give
you lots of
warnings, along with free advice.

I'm quoting a previous email below. If you need any help in
setting up
this superb program which will solve the SPAM problem
completely, let us

know. Just be sure to turn on the junk mail option, which is
very
clearly explained in the instructions.

"I get a lot of email, and virtually no SPAM.
Thunderbird (http://www.
mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/) has a superb
SPAM/Junk filter that will solve your problem without any of
this
hassle. It will also import all your contacts, mail and
settings. I
personally detest NIS, and have removed it every time I've
run into it.
Windows Defender and AVG Free will do the job cheaper and
better."

There is a program in the works to Sync TB, but it's not
ready for prime
time yet.
I have a similar situation, so what I do is keep my calendar
in Outlook
and sync it with my IPAQ. I receive all my mail in TB.
I don't know if you're aware of Outlook's junk mail filter,.
but I used
it for a long time and it actually works pretty well. It's
fully
described in the Outlook help files.

Thunderbird Calendar sync to Pocket PC

Sorry to hijack a thread Lisa, but I know some people who do
use PPC
(pocket PC) with Thunderbird and Calendar with success.

So download Thunderbird here
http://www.mo
zilla.com/products/download.html?product=thunderbird-1.5.0.9
&os=win&lang=en-US
and then download Calendar for Thunderbird, named Lightning
here
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/lightni
ng/download.html and
then download the sync tool named FinchSync here
http://www.fin
chsync.com/download.html

I hope it works for you if you want to pursue the
Thunderbird route.

However, there are plenty of options available to you for
you present
program: Outlook. One I used before is SpamBayes on Ubuntu
with
excellent results also works in Outlook and you can download
it here
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/spam
bayes/spambayes-1.0.4.exe?download

If you have any problems installing or working with it you
can start
here http://spambayes.sourceforge.net/faq.html#outlook-plugin

I use Thunderbird on both Windows and Ubuntu and while it is
very good
with fighting spam it does have quirks like working with
pocket pc.
