*Harold, I just bought a Compaq V6305NR laptop. So I'm
still finding my way
around Vista. But maybe I can help with a couple of your
questions....
>2. How do you make all files visible?
*Go to Start, then Control Panel. At the top of the Control
Panel window,
click on Tools, then Folder Options, Then View. Scroll down
to Hidden Files
and Folders and select Show Hidden Files and Folders.
>3. How do I stop the mouse-overs? Files are opening up
all around me
>without my permission.
*Go to Start, then Control Panel. Click on Mouse (to open
Mouse
Properties). On the Buttons tab, you can adjust the Double
Click Speed
setting. Then on the Device Settings tab, click on
Settings, then
Sensitivity, then Touch Sensitivity. There's a slider to
adjust between
Light Touch and Heavy Touch. (I'm using the stupid
touchpad, but there
should be similar settings for an external mouse....)
Hope this helps,
John.
