I didn't think it would matter since most mice use a
standard
M$ generic mouse driver....but in the event it may; I'm
using a
Logitech MX700 cordless optical (PS/2).

A few days ago I noticed my mouse cursor would suddenly
slow
WAY down to the point where I had to move and move and move
it
just to get it across the screen! When I go to the mouse
properties in the Control Panel, not only are they set the
same
way, but CHANGING them does NOTHING! I can see the slider
to
"Fast" and "Acceleration" to
"High" and that changes nothing!
Nothing will fix it except restarting the PC.
Right now, typing this email, it's FINE. But when I go back
to
my Desktop, it's slow again. When I open a folder it's
slow.
But when I open a webpage it's back to find again! If I
have
the email open but my Desktop still viewable in the
background
and I move the mouse on it, it's fine! I minimize the
email
(or a webpage) and it's slow again.
I looked back in my Program Files and the only think I've
installed when this started happening was that FLV Player
v1.3.3. Has anyone else noticed this happening? (XP Pro
SP2).
Thanks,
-Clint
