PCWorks: Windows Messenger and Outlook2003

Why does Windows Messenger show up in my System Tray only
*sometimes
when I use Outlook2003?

Because you told it to. (Actually, I think it's the default
option).
Look under Tools/Options/Other, and uncheck the instant
messaging box if 
you don't want this "feature".

It's "flaky".  It does the same thing with OE. 
Every time I 
put XP on a HD, I have to deal with this.  Since I don't use

Messenger, I just have to end up deleting it (the main .exe

file).  Disabling it, and even uninstalling it doesn't
always 
work!
