PCWorks: Streaming radio stops, and DVD isn't synchronised

Hi everyone.
A customer has a P3 930 with 384MB and an 80GB HD. Running
XP PRO  SP2 
with all latest updates.
He runs Panda antivirus and Adaware, spybot and Windows
Defender.

He has a regular CDROM and a DVD Burner.

1) When we play a DVD the sound isn't synchronised and
there can be a 
time difference of as much as 10-15 seconds.

2) When we use Streaming Radio it will work well for
anything up to half 
an hour then suddenly stop. It doesn't effect the ADSL
connection, I can 
still surf.

I've updated drivers, added latest codecs ( that work fine
on another 
machine),  tested the DVD in another computer, tested the
DVD disks in 
another DVD machine all to no avail.
The customer is losing patience so any ideas would be
gratefully received
