There's no need to change file associations to use a
different program. 
We've all gotten used to clicking on a file name with its
associated 
icon, but, back in the day, you opened the program first,
then the file.
I've often found Notepad useful in this respect, as it will
open any 
file at all, including .exe and .jpg, which can be a useful 
troubleshooting tool at times.
My current HTML Editor is HTML-Kit, which has more features
than 1st 
Page 2000, but there are plenty of these to choose from
also.
