Careful with that! One of the problems we've faced when
discussing
this before is that we can't just randomly figure out where
to place
the articles. If we're going to spend a chunk of the money
the Perl
community has given us, we need very clear goals on what we
hope to
achieve and target the money accordingly. That means that
linux-magazine might be a great choice or it might not.
It's tough to
know without a clear goal and some knowledge of the
demographics of
their readers.

There are some folks who think we need to target the
technology
choosers (who are quite often the people who shouldn't be
choosing
technology) and letting the PHBs know that Perl is still an
awesome
language. I know this is a bone of contention with some
folks, but
just discussing what we're going to do without a clear
understanding of
why we're going to do it and what goals we have (even if
vague!)
wouldn't be right. What's worse, it could lead to our
irresponsibly
spending people's contributions and *that* would be awful.

Cheers,
Ovid
