I imagine a pert tutorial to be young, thrusting, somewhat
pouty but with an
inspirational confident innocence. The kind of tutorial that
stands on the
bookshelf but says "look very hard, but don't touch or
you'll damage me".

Seems an odd adjective for a tutorial.
