>>> Is there a tutorial / summary of how MYSQL

I suggest the DBI module, a Database independent interface
for Perl. . It defines a set of methods, variables, and
conventions that provide
a consistent database interface, independent of the actual
database
being used.

My main query - Does Perl have a " mysql close"
command ?
in PHP - We have to 'open' a connection, - & 'close' it
- with
everything else between those commands.
If you use the DBI module, exists two methods for this:
my $dbh = DBI->connect($data_source, $username,
$password);
# ...
# ... work any stuff
# ...
$dbh->disconnect();
HTH.
perl -e '$_="tMM naaCt
Feocmama_itpUilucoGa";$_.=$1,print $2 while
s/(..)(.)//;print substr$_,1,1;'

Assunto: [PBML] Perl & MYSQL...
Hi,
Mainly Ive been dealing with PHP & MYSQL, for the last
few years..
I've recently enquired about an international website, &
doing a
subdomain / country-specific section for our part of the
world.
EG :- http://nz.website.
com/ (the NZ section doesnt exist - currently)
Anyway, the main webdesigner - said 'yes' to getting some
help re
re-designing the main site (with or without the NZ
section)...
He is dealing with Perl & MYSQL / CSV files - I'll wait
till the next
few days - re a reply...
But - im getting a head-start.. .
MY MAIN QUESTION :-
Is there a tutorial / summary of how MYSQL works with Perl ?
(in
addition to my main question below)
I've googled up one site :-
http://www.perlscri
ptsjavascripts. com/tutorials/ mysql/index. html
& it seems pretty straightforward - I'll just have to
get used to Perl again...
My main query - Does Perl have a " mysql close"
command ?
in PHP - We have to 'open' a connection, - & 'close' it
- with
everything else between those commands.
Though the above site doesn't say anything about closing the
connection.. .
