Same thing if run from the CLI.

Typically I see this kind of open/close problem when a
console is called with a command it cannot execute. I.e.,
something like  '' xterm -e blah '' has the same effect.

I suspect line 25 in the code:

use Gnome2::Vte;

since there is already a bug report about vte problems but i
do not really know.  Just reporting so you know about it. 




Just completed an --auto-update for cooker  a few minutes
ago.
