Request for help with configuring sylpheed claws with gmail

Hi

Thanks for the help with GPG4Win. As a part of the GPG4win I
downloaded sylpheed claws. Thanks for the great mail client
recommendation ....

I'm trying to set up sylpheed claws to download and send mail with my
G mail a/c [to a win XP machine]. I'm having problems - the mail
client times out. I was wondering if you have by any chance you
configured G mail to work with sylpheed

If yes, could you please help me ? my present configurations are given below

I tried searching Google groups, but could get much out of the posts

I get a "time out" when I try to retrieve mail

My current settings on Syl. Claws are are :

All defaults

PRIVACY
------------------
Always encrypt messages when replying to encrypted messages - checked
REST - UN checked

ADVANCED

POP3 port - 995
REST - UN checked

I'm getting time outs

could some one help me out
