Yes, I realise I'd be kidding myself if I thought
"First World
Governments" couldn't read my OLE encrypted messages.
All I am asking
is... is OLE secure enough to keep my *local phone company*
(my ISP)
from reading encrypted messages sent and received? I guess I
still
don't understand the processes well enough and need to study
the
differences between PGP, S/MIME, etc.

 Thanks again for your input

S/MIME is probably enough for this purpose, yes.

OE = Outlook Express
OLE = Object Linking and Embedding (whether or not it is a
good
obfuscatory reference...?)

Sounds like digital certificates rather than PGP. They're
weaker than
PGP, but should dissuade casual eavesdropping.

I guess I
still

Ohhh...maybe. If they don't have key-loggers and other
spyware on your
system...if they don't periodically black-bag your home and
copy off
your certificates...what are the costs and benefits of
reading your
mail? Ya places yer bets an ya takes yer chances....
