A backslash at the end of the directory name should not be
necessary.
There is a potential problem with specifying %PROGRAMFILES%.
Environment
variables in registry values are normally only expanded for
strings of type
REG_EXPAND_SZ, not the normal string type REG_SZ.
PATH in the user settings is REG_SZ, env vars not expanded.
PATH in the system settings is REG_EXPAND_SZ, env vars
expanded.
You can check this by opening a command window (Run -->
cmd.exe [OK]) and
entering the command PATH.
The easiest fix is to expand %PROGRAMFILES%. For most users,
the 8.3-format
equivalent, C:Progra~1, works fine (and is shorter).
