They're weaker

Yes, I had a funny feeling about my term "OLE",
that's why I wrote
the clarification; sorry about causing the confusion.
However, after
that posting I was able to do a little research and found a
*great*
website, at least for my level of knowledge on the subject
which is
all of about 30 days. So for anyone else like me wondering
about the
differences between OpenPGP and S/MIME you might want to try
this
website:
h
ttp://sdp.opendawn.com/index.php/OpenPGP_vs_S/MIME
It helped me understand S/MIME and it's relationship to
PGP, OpenPGP
etc.
After reading that info I now feel (I'm guessing) that
OpenPGP my be
the system (or a variation of it) which will end up being
the
standard.
Thanks again for everyone's help. This subject sure can be
addictive !
