Hi All
I have received public keys from individuals to store on my
key ring
and I have noticed the physical size of the key block
varies, but the
information on the keys seems the same. Here is an example
of two
keys:
Both keys are type=pub, cipher=DSA/ELG, size=1024/2048, but
one has a
physical size of 3KB the other is 9KB. Could someone explain
this to
me or guide me somewhere that I could read about this for
myself?

Thanks,
Terry

Try this little experiment:
gpg --fixed-list-mode --with-colons --fingerprint
--fingerprint
--list-sig <key1>
Then repeat it again with <key2>.
You'll quickly discover one of the keys has a _lot_ more
information in
it than the other. Each
signature, subkey, revocation, user ID, and
everything else, takes up space. The more of them you have
on a key,
the larger the key will be.

Probably has to do with the number of Signatures on each
Key.
