files in the new directory and does not write anything to
your PC.
You do need an installed copy only to copy from. After you
have copied
the required files from your system you can uninstall
"GPG / GPGshell"
from your system and use only the one on your USB.
I have been doing this for a time and have not found any
entries on my
PC'

Typically when someone wants a program to run from a USB
drive they are
looking for the following criteria:
* All data, settings, keys etc. to be kept strictly on the
USB key.
* Nothing on the host machine should be depended on or
altered (except
the specific data being worked on).
* In particular, the registry should not be depended on or
altered.
Neither WinPT or GPGshell meet these criteria since they
both alter the
registry. Also, by default they look for key and setting
files on the
host machine.
