Line break question

Hi,

I have a script which reads information from my mysql db
onto a
webpage.  I currently have it where there is a <br>
after every
category in order to display the next text on a new line. 
However, I
want it to only include <br> if there is text in the
next category,
however if there isn't any text from the category, it
won't create a
line break.

Is this possible to do?
