We just bought a new equipment and I would like to
copy the configuration from the old to the new using
tftp service.

I got an issue here.

ASA# copy run tftp

Source filename [running-config]?

Address or name of remote host [OurServer]?

Destination filename []? F:config-ASA.txt
Cryptochecksum: fd70a711feae1773
!!!!

You don't have to write the absolute path of ur
directory when the PIX asked for the destination file
name. Your TFTP server should "understand"; that by
telling it where is the root directory. You should try
writing the following:

ASA# copy run tftp
Source filename [running-config]?
Address or name of remote host [OurServer]?
Destination filename []? config-ASA.txt

Doing this way you the running-config is gonna be
written on the directory pointed by your TFTP server.

Another idea is open up you console screen and type:
(config)#no pages
(config)#sh run

while your client (minicom, teraterm, etc) logs
everything that should come up on your screen. Don't
forget to configure the pages back again using:
(config)#pages 30

the number can varies depends on the size of your
screen (that indicate the number of lines).

I think that can help you.

Best regards,

Romulo Sousa

What TFTP server are you using? Typically, you don't specify the full
path for a Windows based TFTP server. Instead, the path is relative
to the root TFTP server directory.

Attempt setting the filename to just "config-ASA.txt" and see if that
won't work for you. Check your TFTP server to determine what it sets
as the base directory for received TFTP files.

As another option, if you are using ASDM, you can browse to:
https://<ASA_IP>/config

to get the config in your browser. Then copy and paste the config
into the new ASA.

Sincerely,

David.
