Yes, you can copy the config.  The DMZ will remain inactive until you name the interface and set its attributes (security, speed, duplex, etc). ; Other than that, you should be all set.

My current 501 is working very well except the VPN bottleneck.  So now we just bought the 515E with DMZ. 

My question is: can I just copy the entire 501 configuration file for 515E. ; Will it work?

Since the 515E is with DMZ do I need to do extra work to disable the DMZ function or just let it alone?
