Our organization is migrating from a Web datablade
environment to a Java
based web environment
and we have chosen to use Hibernate for our persistence
layer. Since
none of us are experts we thought
it would be nice to have somebody come for a day or two and
give us some
training.
We think the best use of our time would be: we get a basic
internal
training on Hibernate and every
developer gets a chance to read up and work with Hibernate.
Then it
becomes clear where we need extra help.
Our main business is providing searches for the community
and thus our
focus will be in this area.
I suspect a general trainer on Hibernate may not be a
perfect match as
we'll need expertise in various query forms.
I could see somebody who has worked closely with Hibernate
for a while
would know all the quirks of Hibernate.
I haven't seen a single book that could be used as a good
reference.
Each one has different focuses and often
the problems are in the details.
We are located at University of Oregon in Eugene.
Any thoughts, recommendations, suggestions ...
