Too bad the author of that article hasn't evolved along with the new
problems. He's too stuck on old seg faults and such... he needs to move
up to the challenge of concurrency bugs and start making sure new
graduates know the ins and outs of topics covered by Brian Goetz in his
book, Java Concurrency in Practice
(http://www.briangoetz.com/).
Maybe he can explain why most Java programmers don't even know what the
keyword volatile is for, or why frameworks like IBMs Java ConTest
(http://www.alphaworks.ibm.com/tech/contest)
are important for testing and debugging multi-threaded systems.
