Professional Services Engineer at Jive Software
Summary
Jive Software is looking for a superlative engineer to join
our
professional services team. The Professional Services
Engineer will
deliver Jive Software applications to our customers by
customizing
solutions, implementing best practices, and developing new
features.
This position requires strong customer interaction skills
and 3-5
years web applications development experience with an
emphasis on Java
and browser-side technologies. While the work will be
focused on
professional services, much of the development efforts will
be used in
the core products, so solid development skills are
important. This
position represents an exciting opportunity to work with a
wide array
of the latest web technologies, as well as some of the best
known
global companies.
Responsibilities
* Development: Develop new features, customizations and
enhancements to Jive Software's core products as part of our
client
engagements.
* Project Management: Work with our clients to define
requirements
and manage project details. The ideal candidate will know
the ins and
outs of every product offering and recommend new features
and
modifications based on experiences with key clients.
* Customer Interaction: Interact directly with customers
to
clarify requirements and obtain feedback on deliverables.
Required Skills
* Extensive experience on the browser side (e.g. HTML,
JavaScript, CSS)
* Experience with AJAX
* Familiarity with a broad range of J2EE technologies,
especially
JSP & Servlet programming, as well as JDBC and LDAP
* Impeccable communication skills and customer focus
* Photoshop & other graphic production tools a plus
* XML/XSLT a plus

Compensation & Benefits
