First sorry for my English.
All required options in kernel are installed. The simple
altq testing don't give proper results.
The idea: Freebsd server is a gateway, from one net to other
i trying to send mpeg video traffic(UDP)
from one host of 192.168.10.0/24 net to other host of
192.168.11.0/24 net. In addition, from this net
192.168.10.0,
i sending unimportant udp traffic in order to create a
"bottle-neck" 10Mbit/s on one of the server
NIC's.
All traffic going thru "bottle-neck" to host with
IP 192.168.11.2
First i tuning prioritization with priq:
ext_if="fxp0"
altq on $ext_if priq bandwidth 10Mb queue { video, udp,
other }
queue other priq (default)
queue udp priority 2
queue video priority 5
pass out on $ext_if proto udp from 192.168.10.2 to
192.168.11.2 queue video
pass out on $ext_if from 192.168.10.3 to 192.168.11.2 queue
udp
Prioritization does not working properly even when
overloading happend.
Then i tuning prioritization with cbq:
altq on fxp0 cbq bandwidth 10Mb queue { usefull, other }
queue other bandwidth 100Kb cbq(default)
queue usefull bandwidth 9900Kb priority 2 { video, udp }
queue video bandwidth 3000Kb priority 5
queue udp bandwidth 6900Kb priority 1
pass out on $ext_if proto udp from 192.168.10.2 to
192.168.11.2 queue video
pass out on $ext_if proto udp from 192.168.10.3 to
192.168.11.2 queue udp
same problem... doesn't working. What i'm doing wrong? The
System is FreeBSD 6.3
