Saravanan,
I am a novice to Firefox; What is 'distribution'? I use
"Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11)
Gecko/20071127 Firefox/2.0.0.11".
I had set the  unicode for character encoding in the view
tab and still it does not  show tamil fonts properly .

Raghavan,,
Vikatan, Kumudam and Dinamalar websites use unicode now. So
you don't need
padma to view these websites. I use Ubuntu and it works
without doing any
additional setup.
Which distribution you are using ? Use the
 following link to setup unicode
in your distribution,

Thanks

Raghavan,
For unicode support, Firefox depends on OS support for
unicode. What is the
linux distribution you are using ? Based on the linux
distribution unicode
setup can be done based on the steps listed below,

cripts#Linux

Thanks
