PageStream5Pro Amigithlon Crash Problem

I still have not gotten PG5Pro to work on the Amithlon.

Reading over the docs there is a mention that it needs the
Amiga True
Color display.

At this time this is not one of the screen types Amithlon
offeres. It has
a bunch of Built In's.

Is there anyone who had PSPro5 running on their Amithlon who
can tell me
if they have promoted it to a specific builtin screen type.

Experimentation is tedious due to the system crashing every
time I get to
the point of opening a document.

Amithlon offeres. It has

 True colour display would mean any non colour palette
lookup mode,
i.e. all 15, 16 24 and 32 bit modes.

Hello Bonnie,

I never got Pro5 to work on my 68k Amiga or 68k Amiga
Emulator. I am thinking 
that the 5Pro is for Amiga OS4 only. I am sure I will be
corrected if I am 
wrong. 5Pro works great on my Winblows and Linux systems.

It opens up on a separate screen for me. I can open the
system
preferences which is mui and select a screen. However the
labels in the 
menus may be unreadable. But the Amithlon does not have True
Color as a 
native choice.

How far did you get with PG5Pro working on the 68 k?

I tried to install the Linux version on my Ubuntu system
recently and have
some display problems with it but the really serious problem
has been that
Linux no longer can speak to my printer (I know the printer
is OK cause I
dual boot with Amithlon and Amithlon can still print to the
printer. So I
am sort of frustrated.

Correspondence is appreciated.

You got much further than I did.

Will I use Ubuntu also, but the big differece between the
two of us is that
my Ubuntu v6.061 can use my HP printers. BUT for v5.034, I
have to print
negative for black and white to get a positive, I and I have
to use v5.033
for color. I understand that there is a way to revert back
to a "slower"
printer driver, but I haven't figured out how to do that
yet, without
installing the older driver and overlaying the newer. I do
have an Epson
R220 also hooked up, but I haven't tried using it yet. Linux
sees it
though.

As for display problems.. I haven't encountered any yet, but
probably all
that means is that I haven't encountered any yet . What are
you doing
when your display problem occurs?
