  I've been following your thread about Pagestream vs.
Scribus. I, too, am awaiting a workable, stable OSX version.
However, I went looking  Scribus and tried to
install it, just to give it a go. When I go to run it, it
gets to font cache, and freezes. Any reason? Has anyone
really used this program on OSX.4.8?

 Yes, I get caught out with this each time.  I have been
using the Win
 version for a month or so now (still use the Amiga version
much more and
 still awaiting a stable OS X version!).  I have found a
number of minor
 "quirks" in the Win version like this.

It comes standard on most Linux distributions these days. I
have no experience 
with OS-X since my only MAC is an old 603 PPC antique. I am
sure my old 
Pagestream V3.2 would run great on it though  In fact,
just for giggles I 
think I will install it. I originally bought to run on
Fusion, the Amiga MAC 
emulator.
