I thought it was you, but I had already deleted the message.
Thanks again.

No, nothing changed. What I did was to click the link that
reads,
"Switch format to Traditional." That opened the
Compose component in
Thunderbird where I'm writing this. It didn't occur to me to
just click
Send. Instead I closed the window and figured something had
happened at
Yahoo's end. Nothing did.

So I just clicked the link again and sent the empty message.
I suspect
that will do the trick.

No I think not. You have to log in at Yahoo.

At the bottom of an e-mail is (maybe look a bit different
now, this one
is from 24 November 2006, my latest HTML-look from Yahoo):

Change settings via the Web (Yahoo! ID required)
Change settings via email: Switch delivery to Daily Digest |
Switch
format to Traditional
Visit Your Group | Yahoo! Groups Terms of Use | Unsubscribe

You should click Change Settings via the Web.
Since you use Thunderbird, Firefox opens.

You must log in:

Yahoo! ID: xxxx
Password: yyyyy

If you are logged in, you get this:
Step 1 and Step 2: ignore them.

Then:
Step 3. Message Preference

Select a display format for any email messages you may
receive: (See
samples)
Fully Featured New & Improved!
Traditional

Now you have to select Traditional and click Save Changes.

That should do the trick.

Hopefully now everything goes well. And you receive from now
on only
text e-mails. Older e-mails stay in the same HTML-look.
