Wouldn't it be better to give Microsoft a few months to get
the worst
bugs fixed?

Add the bugs in Vista to the bugs in Pagestream 5 and
problems are
practically certain.

I get the impression people are running Vista quite
successfully.

I don't keep most of the old messages, but I seem to
remember someone
mentioning a minor issue with PageStream-Vista quite a while
ago. They
must have been running either a beta of Vista or, if it was
more recent
than I think, they might have been running on a corporate
machine. In
any case, it was trivial and quite probably something that
could have
come up in XP.

What I said was my general impression of Vista from other
peoples
writings about using Vista. However, probably none of these
are using PGS.

However, my son says that Vista is great if you're not an
experienced computer user. If you, are its interface is
counter to what you already know. At least that's my
impression. And he is a computer professional teaching
courses in Dot Net, etc. for MS in some cases.

My computer is designed for this type of situation. My HDs
are not fixed,
they are removable trays. This way I can have Vista on one
HD, XP on
another, etc. Any problems and I can just swap them out.
Since I am on
disability, I have all the time in the world to fool with
Vista, and PS, and
Photoshop, etc. So, I am going in with my eyes open. But,
you are right for
some who is not a geek, I would advise not upgrading for 6 -
10 months or
more. Aside from bugs, drivers are not available for
everything yet, such as
sound cards. Of course this changes on a daily basis, but
still, for the
average user, better wait.
