1. Select text mode (the "A" in the toolbox).
2. Select the text to be changed (either drag-select or
"select all" in
the Edit menu).
3. While in text mode, select the "Line &
Fill" gadget on the toolbar or
in the Object menu.
4. Select the "Line" or "Fill" tab in
the requester that opens.
5. "Line" gives you the opportunity to select the
color, thickness, and
other aspects of the character outlines. Default is usually
no outline.
6. "Fill" gives you the opportunity to fill the
color of the characters,
including percentages of the color, gradients, etc.

Select the text you want to change.
Go to Type / Line & Fill. Go to Fill and select the
color you want.
If it isn't available, you have to make that color:
Go to Edit / Define / Colors...
Click on New... and define your color. Give it a name, so
you can find
it back.
