I've started having a weird little problem, I can't see what the root is.
I am using PS 5.0.3.4 non-pro version on a WinXP Pro machine.
I prepare text in Word 2003 and paste it over to PageStream and most
of the text formats OK. However, small parts of the text which are in
separate paragraphs and have no more formatting than the rest of the
does, seem to have a permanent indentation that I cannot get rid of.
When I try to delete any spaces or tabs or such all the text does is
connect with the end of the previous paragraph! Hitting the 'enter'
key to put the text back on the next line just restores the indent!!!
Also the text below the first line of the non-wanted indentation is
indented about two or three more characters further to the right.
I've turned on the 'invisibles' and I see nothing there. I've also
tried aligning the text left, right, centered and justified to get rid
of the problem and nothing seem to work.
An example of what I'm typing is as follow (If this text editor will
let me do it)
This is text like I'm talking about which has no 'normal'
indentations, but stays indented no matter what I do!
Any help, suggestions, sympathy or such would be appreciated!

If you have Irfanview, you might open the PgS file in it as a hex file
and see what is really in it.

Try using send to editor. This requires python be installed. the script should
be distributed with PgS, but you may need to edit a line specifying the
editor to use (this is documented in the script).
The advantage of using send to editor is that you can see all* the codes,
including where styles start, etc.
* strictly speaking there are some formatting codes that have no equivalent in
text codes and don't survive the translation.

I've read everyone else's replies about Python etc, but my question is
why cut n paste?
If you save the file as txt (or maybe even Word), you should be able
to import (load) it into PGS and it should take care of the formatting
(or none) automatically???
I often save emails & import them because cut n paste on Windows never
works as I want it to!
