The only grammar checker I've ever used was "Proper Grammar II" which was
produced by SoftWood, Inc. along with Final Writer and Final Copy. I liked it
very much even though it would always complain mightily about my 'overuse' of
the passive tense. And there were other flaws, but, on the whole, I found it
very useful to check a document that I had written. Sometimes it would pick up
some really stupid errors -- as a verb tense which implies 'singular' whereas
the noun is plural, etc.

Are there any good grammar checkers hanging around that can be used with OS4.0?

Those software products from SoftWood were really very good for their time. I
recall using Pen Pal which for simple things was great. Wonder where Woody
Williams and his guys went!?!?

They were *great*! Don't forget Final Calc, by Khalid Aldoseri.

I have discovered a talent for making typos that regularly spell correctly
a different word than I was thinking, so they aren't picked up by
spell-checkers. The grammar-checker ought to find them, though.
