PageStream can only fill individual subpaths. Even if you combine lines
into a single path using merge paths, they are nothing more than
individual subpaths of straight lines. It doesn't try and connect up
coinciding points into a single path.

I am going to assume that you have drawn something like 3 straight lines
and a half circle that make a box with a hump in it. You can adjust the
advice from here.

Probably the easiest is to simply choose the pen tool and draw a single
path over the existing objects. If that seems like to easy of a things
you can...

First, make sure that your lines and arc are "stacked" in order around
the object. In other words, grab the left most object, choose
"stack->send to back". Then choose the next in a clockwise order, and so
on. This assumes also that the lines are drawn in that direction.

Then select them and choose merge paths.

Now, you need to create a new script and put in it the single command
"MERGESUBPATHS" and execute it with the path selected. All this does is
convert all but the first "moveto" in the path into a line. If your
lines are out of order or drawn in the wrong order, you will not get
what you want. This is a hack of a command which is why it is not in the
interface.

Good luck, hope this explains your troubles and gives you some assistance.
