Hello,

does anyone know how to get rid of that annoying warning message that you have to wait for the delay before entering your password etc. Also, can you change the password from the one they have assigned...

I'm using PageStream 4 on the Amiga

Thanks

Sounds like you've misplaced a file or directory. PageStream asks for
your password only on a fresh install, then saves it. It's been that way
on every version of PageStream I've owned back to the beginning of my
Amiga days. However, someone more knowledgeable (or, just now,
ambitious) than I will have to point you to where it's saved.

As far as I know, there's no way to change it. Unlike many password
implementations it seems to be used only to confirm your rights to
purchase or upgrade the product, not to lock out unauthorized users. But
if you asked Deron nicely, he might do something for you.

Hello Gord,
I can only assume that you are using a temporary password
(ilovepagestream), which will require you to suffer through the nag
screen each and every time. To get around this, all you have to do is
enter the permanent password which you would receive when you register
with us!

since you have an account at pagestream.org, and your PageStream Amiga
4.0 registration is recorded in that account, all you need to do is go
to pagestream.org, sign in, and go to your profile. There you will see
your PageStream registration number and product activation password. Use
that and your troubles should go away!

If this is _not_ the problem and you are entering your product
activation password, then I would guess that you have PageStream
installed in a write-protected directory or have some other issue that
is stopping your information from being written to your preferences file.

Hi Deron,

What would my username and password be for the web site? If I had one, I don't remember what it is... I originally purchased this version way back in probably 2000 or so... I can't really remember.

Hi Gord,
Go to www.pagestream.org and register a new account. We don't create
those accounts for you. I see that you have an account already, and the
registration details are set already so all is well!
