Sorry Luca, but the terminology can get confusing. When you write "text
object," and then tell us you're converting it to a path, I don't know
whether you're dealing with "frameless text" or text in a frame. As I
mentioned, typing "C" is unnecessary, so I couldn't be sure what you
were doing.

I'm glad that a fresh install solved the problem.
