Hi Tim,

Yes, thanks to Theo.

TD> active (like push buttons) and it is no problem to see their state.

Yes, the outline around the active button changes from a light gray to white
when the button is "depressed". I would like to change the colour palette so
that the outline of an active button (i.e., depressed) would be some
contrasting colour, like RED or Cameroon Purple, etc.

As mentioned in my note to Jonny, the entry

Shine Generic bright edges

in the 'Colors' Subsystem of Sys:Prefs/GUI has been changed, and the resultant
display appearance in YAM and PageStream has been dramatically and a vastly
improved. In fact, YAM is so COLOURFUL now that it is almost funny. But .... I
like it!

TD> I really have no idea how the Amiga One deals with this situation, but my

TD> provide a way to specify what colors are given an application requesting

I cannot answer those questions. 8-(( There is the menu option

Windows -> Show Colour Palette

and when the 'Colors' window opens, one finds 8 basic colours of which Black and
White are 'locked' -- I guess that means you cannot mess with those two
colours. But I have no clue what one does with the various colours and gadgets
that appear in the 'Colors' window. The explanations on page 177 (User Manual
Release 3) as to "Using the Color palette" do not seem to apply to my concern.
So far, only the fooling around in Sys:Prefs/GUI has been useful.
