Deleting Letters/Characters with Backspace

Hello,

I'm using Pagestream Pro 5.0.3.4 on Windows XP.
This is my problem:
Always, if I delete one letter/character with the Backspace-Key,
Pagestream deletes two letters/characters.

Does anyone know, how to erease this Problem.

That is a regrettable but known bug. It is my understanding that it is fixed
in-house -- we are currently waiting on an updated version.

The problem is,I believe, a bug in the program. I have the non-pro
version of 5.0.3.4 on WinXP and it also has the 'double-delete' when
using the backspace. I think Deron is aware of the problem and when
he can get back to the Win version, he'll correct it.

As a workaround, I usually put the cursor in front of what I want to
remove and use the delete key. It's a bit of a pain, but I like the
ease of use I have with PageStream, so I put up with it until it can
be corrected!

Well known bug, which will be fixed in the next release. In the meantime
you could try this:

Record a macro consisting of {backspace}. Save it and assign it
to a function key like , , or , which are usually near
the regular backspace key. Now, pressing the function key will, in
effect, give you a single-character backspace.

(I believe is normally assigned to screen-redraw. I've reassigned
that to , which is screen-redraw in most Windows programs [or
page-reload in a browser]. That keeps PageStream consistent with other
applications, and is one less shortcut to remember.)
