Yes, I recall those comments, but had not checked. After reading your note, I
did check, and YES, the "internal" photo produced a significantly better image
in PageStream, but still no hell. Did not have time to compare with an actual
printout.

I often leave the photos external since at about 20 MB I find PageStream a bit
slow in loading. Never noticed that a photo loads faster when not external.

What graphics card do you have that renders the photos "perfectly" in
PageStream?

Yes I'm familiar with the problems related to leaving photos external, but there
is a fairly simple solution to that due to the fact that PageStream will ask
for the 'new' location of the photos. Works well. Of course, you have to know
the 'new' location.

w>; picture, then go to Edit/Information. There is a tick box at the
w>; bottom, marked external. If ticked, the picture is not loaded and you
w>; can choose the quality of the image shown.
