It crashes always for me.

I am sorry to say this, but I think I have tried all PageStream
versions on Windows, and they all crash. PageStream is the most
unstable program I have ever had. And there has been other problems
as well, like making corrupt postscript files etc. I have lost a lot
of work using PageStream, and now I don't dare to use it for serious
projects anymore. But every time you announce a new version I
download it, hoping that the problems are solved. This is because I
am an optimist, and I do like the program. It is easy to use and very
powerful. So I really hope that you can sort out these problems.

Trondis,

If you would tell us what version of Windows, and more details about
what is happening. We can't help if you don't give us detailed of the
problems. You do not tell us what crashes, when, and a particular example.

Most of us here in the PgS community are long time, from the Amiga
origins of PgS V2.2. I still have the manuals.

Page Stream on my old Amiga and now Windows XP home is one of the most
stable programs I've ever used.

You need to tell us about your entire system, including hardware and OS
version.

Crash immediately? Constantly? More frequently than you find acceptable?

I'm curious because v5.0.3.4 has been quite stable for me. Admittedly it has
some bugs (backspace deletes last two, etc.) and I normally use the linux
version -- but v5.0.3.4 certainly doesn't crash immediately or constantly.

More frequently than you find acceptable -- well, that is for you to decide.
(For me MS Word is unacceptably buggy because it reliably crashes editing a
certain point in a particular document -- even after recreating the document
from scratch -- my point being I'm not doubting PgS may crash more than you
find acceptable even if PgS is stable enough for me.)
