Actually, no they're not crucial. They're actually incompatible,
at least for accurate printing that's the case. This excerpt
below from the tips file that comes with Pagestream Amiga:

Do not use the Times or Triumvirate fonts in your Fonts:_bullet_outlines
directory with PageStream3. These fonts do not have the same character widths and
spacing values as the fonts that are included with PageStream3.

The fonts included with Workbench are Agfa's CG series fonts. They modified these
to create the CS series fonts, which are included with PageStream3, so that the
fonts could be used properly with PostScript printers.

If you want to add the fonts in the Fonts:_bullet_outlines directory to
PageStream3 with Fonts from the System Preferences submenu in the Project menu,
remove the CGTimes.type and CGTriumvirate.type files from it and copy the files
ending with ".type" from the PageStream3:Fonts/Intellifonts directory to the
Fonts:_bullet_outlines directory. Update the PageStream3:Fonts/Intellifonts
directory and add the Fonts:_bullet_outlines directory to it with Fonts in the
System Preferences submenu in the Project menu, so that PageStream will know that
the font files have been moved.

***END SNIP***

Hi Ernest,

that has been mentioned, I missed it. Here, PageStream 4 holds the fort. I have

5.DH0_OS40Final:> list fonts:_bullet_outlines
Directory "fonts:_bullet_outlines" on Wednesday 19-Sep-07
LetterGothic.type 138096 ----rw-d 06-Jul-94 12:30:40
CGTriumvirate.type 63232 ----rw-d 06-Jul-94 12:30:40
CGTimes.type 80812 ----rw-d 06-Jul-94 12:30:40
3 files - 275K bytes - 145 blocks used

and PageStream 4.1.5.6 behaves well with respect to Triumvirate and Times fonts.
For all I know, I may have followed the instructions given below. But that is
so long ago that I certainly do not recall doing so.

Anyway, thanks for the information and glad that things are working well now.

Which version would be referenced above? PageStream2???

AAAhhhHH! With PostScript printers!

Hmmm! Now I'm wondering if I should copy all those '.type' files currently in
PageStream4:Fonts/Intellifonts into Fonts:_bullet_outlines !?!?!?
