Hello Deron,

I will try your suggestion – thanks.

But what I am more interested in is to find that there is a
more up-
to-date version of PGS for my computer.

I am surprised that you cannot find my account - perhaps it
is so old
that it has faded out. I have a registration number and
password but
clearly I can't quote them on this open forum.

I first bought PGS 2 for the Atari in February 1992 and
upgraded it
at various times until I bought the Mac version, PGS 3, in
about
1996. Again I upgraded from time to time until I got my
present version.

I was not aware that there is a further version available
for Mac OS
9 (I am on 9.2.2) but if you say there is I would certainly
be
interested in obtaining it. That is UNLESS you are able to
tell me
that a Mac OS X version will definitely be available within
the next
six months, say. It seems such a long time that I have been
waiting
for the Mac OS X version.

With many thanks,

Cheerio,

Terence Casey

True enough, but unless *I* missed something (always
possible!) what Deron was
referring to was going to http://www.pagestream.org and creating an account
there. With that account setup you then add the registration
information to
your account and can then download the most recent version
of PageStream for
which you are qualified from the website.

Nothing is certain in this world and especially software
release dates. If a
company as big and well-heeled as Microsoft slips on release
dates well I
wouldn't hold out much hope for Deron to make any announced
release date.

Based on past experience I expect that in six months time
there will be an OS
X version that is at least usable beta quality. But as they
say, "past
performance is no predictor of future behavior" and it
might go slower or
faster.
