I knocked out a quick Halloween themed border this morning which can be
obtained from http://www.rollanet.org/~drakki/PgS/Halloween%20Bones -- unless
I've stuffed something up
The border isn't anything special and IMO is a bit sloppy but it is free for
use. Just copy it to the SoftLogik/Engines/Borders folder in your PageStream
program directory. It will show up in the available border list the next time
PageStream starts.
(I've got ideas for more sophisticated variations but time is likely to be an
issue.)
For the record it took about 45 minutes to do the graphics (yeah, I'm slow)
and about a minute to create the border itself. For anyone interested in
creating borders I highly recommend using the CreateBorder script. The
current version appears to be v0.5.1 and probably requires PgS v5.0.3.4
(though it might not).

You (and the others) are welcome and here's more: a bundle of four (all using
the same graphics). This includes the original border (with the spacing
revised).
http://www.rollanet.org/~drakki/PgS/Halloween%20Bones%20Bundle
I also found a bug in the script (it cropped up making the second border,
grumble, grumble) and have updated it
http://www.rollanet.org/~drakki/PgS/CreateBorder-v0.5.2.zip
I have a hankering to create some borders with pumpkins, witches and such but
that is all for tonight.

What class of file did you say this is meant to be?

Its a border (well, this time it is four borders). The file is copied to
SoftLogik/Engines/Borders and is available the next time PgS starts.
These are halloween-themed (the current four are all skulls and crossbones
which my wife says are "piratey" not "halloween").
There's no extraction or anything, its just the border file which is peculiar
to PgS. See http://www.pagestream.org/showdocs.php?id=832 and
http://www.pagestream.org/showdocs.php?id=1221 for more information.

Thunderbird very much liked to save it with a .htm extension. I guess it
really doesn't matter if it has such an extension when placed in the
SoftLogik/Engines/Borders folder. But I renamed it to a file name
without an extension.

Pumpkins are probably more halloween than skulls.
