I suspect that Henry's comment above is likely accurate. In my case, it was just
the opposite. Using Amiga 4.1.5.6 exclusivley, I had never used the "Place in
Center" option and only tried it out after reading the various messages about
it here.

I don't recall if it was the default on Amiga 4.4.5.6 or not. From Deron's
remarks above, it would not have been the default. If it was, somehow I turned
it off.

After a few applications of "Place in Center" I can see how users would find it
annoying. I certainly did. If that option is de rigeur on Macs, then that's
life in the Mac world. I hope it does not become the default on the Amiga
end. Not a problem if you know, but I suspect Henry's insight is correct.

Annoying? Hmm, I must have seen it both. I was using opposite of "Place
Graphic in Center" in the old days of PGS (first Amiga, then Windows).
Then Deron changed it somewhere, and somehow I didn't seek to change
this "Place Graphic in Center".

At the moment I am 'busy' to rename the English color names into Dutch
for many illustrations (now a mix of English and Dutch names).
And for some illustrations I can replace parts with already changed
illustrations. That saves me a lot of time.
And then I became fond on "Place Graphic in Center"! I clicked the part
that should be replaced by an already made part. I zoomed in, delete the
part and Paste it with the part I copied before. Always on the spot!!

Maybe it can also be done with Replace Graphic also, come to think of this?

Anyway the change Deron made wasn't bad for me. Just you, and I mean you
PageStreamSupport mailers, show me that it can be done like in the old days.
I changed it for a few moments (not place in center), and my Pastes were
terribly wrong (not at the spot)!

It must have been default. I'm pretty sure I never looked at the menu item
in question before--it wasn't even immediately obvious where to find
it--and it was turned on.

At first, I thought turning it off was a mistake. When I tried it out, I
got this little square instead of a picture. I tried again--same thing.
Then I found out what I could do with that little square, and "Place in
Center" will certainly stay turned off here.
