Well I've eliminated 'Fonts:' from "Installed Font Drawers" list and things seem
to be behaving well. But thanks for confirming its inclusion was a mistake.

Yes, but only PageStream5 needs that font family! Right? After you pointed out
that PageStream5 required TrueType fonts, I recall vaguely including
'Fonts:_TrueType' as the only font family in the list "Installed Font Drawers"
but .....
I tried including the family 'Fonts:_TrueType' in the list under "Installed Font
Drawers" and immediately PageStream4 recongized all the relevant Bitstream and
DejaVu fonts and listed them in its "Set Font" window. With "show sample"
turned on, the Bitstream fonts displayed nicely -- every one of them -- but
when I tried to change text set with Times-Normal to one of the Bitstream
fonts, the GR made a quick appearance.
So that shows the falsity of my earlier claim that if a font shows up nicely
when "Show sample" is on, then it is okay to use it. 8-(
As to the DejaVu fonts, the very first one brought the GR when "Show Sample" was
active. I concluded that I could not TrueType fonts with PageStream4 until
Wurzel wrote in to prove me wrong.

Not here!
MM> fonts:_GhostScript (should be there)
Yes, that exists. I assume this collection is needed when one is saving as PDF
or Postscript.
I eventually got PageStream4 to use various TTF fonts but that story is told in
my response to Wurzel.
