Strange! My toolbar has always icons in it...
I started this 5.0.4.17 as new, so I was prompted for registration. Then
I added my old userprefs to the 'prefered location'.
What I saw was that I now missed some icons: Place / Export Graphic and
Import / Export text. But they are replaced by Import and Export in the
latest PGS, so nothing wrong there. The palettes were all there, where I
put them with PGS 5.0.4.4...
Ah! you had intermediate versions of PGS (between 5.0.4.4 and 5.0.4.17),
so you had in the 'prefered location' all your data.
Maybe Deron changed something... Come to think of it: this could not be
it, because I copied the userprefs (PGS 5.0.4.4!!) to the 'prefered
location'...

When you add some icons to the toolbar, will they be there when you
reopened PGS?
