But I find it's crashing every time I use parts of it: either "Edit" (which
brings up the Attributes dialogue box; close that and CRASH) or when I tick
"Show Segment Bounding Boxes";, immediate CRASH.

Pagestream 5.04.4. Pro for Windows

Not that I have any current use for this. nor understand any of it. And the
crashes are not at all critical, especially if the feature doesn't currently
help. and I'm sure most of would want Deron to rush something else

Not really. There's a vestige of it in the menus: Type -> Insert -> Formula
that opens a dialog and allows construction of equations. It works pretty
well, but doesn't do anything other than render the equation in the dialog

it doesn't actually insert an object into the document. I suppose someone
who
was desperate could screenshot that and use the bitmap, but that wouldn't be

sufficient for printing.

I hope it makes it into a full feature some day. I don't do much with
equations any more but it does come up from time to time. My understanding
is
that to allow the objects to work in a PgS document would take more behind
the scenes effort than Deron has been able to devote to it up to now which
is
why it was never completed.

yep, nice demo of the functionality

it was never completed and works to varying degrees (for display in its dialog
only) in different versions of PgS. The "Show Segment Bounding Boxes"; is a
debug function that shows the bounding box for each element in the equation.

Yep, which is why it hasn't been completed. A cute little demo, though.
